Truro City have announced their first signing of the transfer window, with former Yeovil Town youngster Harvey Greenslade making the move to Cornwall. The 22-year-old spent last season with Yeovil Town in the National League, the division that his new side were relegated from. Greenslade makes his return across the border, having spent the 2022-23 and 2023-24 seasons on loan at the Cornish side, during which he made multiple appearances across the two campaigns. “I can’t wait to start,” Greenslade said. “I have been here twice before on loan and becoming a permanent player is something I always thought would happen one day. I am really excited to get going and will be working really hard to show the fans that this time I am here to stay. “The last time I was here, the club was playing at Parkway. I was very young, although it was a good experience. The club has come a long way since then.” The signing shows a real sign of intent from the Tinners as they look to bounce back to the fifth tier at the first time of asking, having endured a disappointing campaign last year. “I want to excite the fans and will give them 100 per cent. I won’t be coasting through the season and I will run my heart out. Some of the fans will have seen me play before and they know I will give all I’ve got. For those who haven’t, I’ll show them that by working hard, because they deserve players like that. “I am looking forward to meeting all the fans and integrating well with them too,” he added.
