Truro City is delighted to announce the signing of Tom Dean from SkyBet League 2 outfit Exeter City. Dean, younger brother of Truro stalwart Will, moves across the Tamar on loan from St James Park until January 2027. This is Dean’s second temporary spell with John Askey’s side after a similar arrangement last season, with the 20-year-old playing seven times for Truro in the National League. And the combative midfielder featured for the Grecians against Truro last month in a friendly match at the TCS, which the home side won by a single Tyler Harvey goal. "I’m really excited to get started," Dean told Truro City.co.uk. "I came here at the back end of last season and although it didn’t go the way we wanted, there is now an opportunity to put that right. "I know most of the lads here already and when there were whispers of me coming down here again, I was really keen to come. "This is a good opportunity to get more minutes in men’s football in the bank and although I played a few games here last season and a few with Exeter, it wasn’t as many as I wanted. "I will try and come here, to play in a good standard, to try and cement a place in the team. "Overall, I am really looking forward to it. Truro City currently sits 24th in the National League, with 34 points from 46 games, and has scored 42 goals this season, conceding 72. The team's next fixture is against Torquay on December 26.
