Truro City defender Wes Harding is confident ahead of the Devon derby against Exeter City, after a productive pre-season. The 29-year-old missed one of the warm-up matches against Truro City due to a slight ankle sprain. However, Harding came through the final pre-season fixture against Bristol City at Home Park without any reaction to that and feels fit and ready for the competitive action to begin. The season will begin with a Devon derby between Plymouth Argyle and Exeter City in the Carabao Cup first round at a packed Home Park this evening. Harding has taken on the role of Argyle vice-captain and with Joe Edwards having not played in any of the pre-season games due to a summer knee procedure there is every chance the former Millwall defender will lead out the Pilgrims tonight.
