Truro City powered into the next round of the FA Cup with a commanding 4-0 victory over Cirencester Town in the Third Round Qualifying on Saturday. The win at home keeps their cup run alive and extends their recent winning streak to three matches across all competitions.
Ben Starkie set the tone early, opening the scoring in the eighth minute. Tyler Harvey doubled the advantage before the break, finding the net in the 37th minute. Starkie completed his brace with a second goal in the 74th minute, and Harvey Greenslade added a fourth just five minutes later to seal the comprehensive result.
The performance continues a strong start to the season for the White Tigers, who now sit sixth in the National League South with 17 points from nine games. They are just two points behind leaders Maidstone United, a side they beat 2-1 last weekend. This form has seen them win four of their last five league matches.
Attention now turns back to the league, with Truro City travelling to face ninth-placed Farnham Town on Tuesday, October 6th. That fixture will be their third away game in their last four outings. Their upcoming fixtures present a chance to build further momentum in the title race.
