Tom Harrison's last-minute goal kept Truro City's FA Cup dreams alive with a 1-1 draw at Merthyr Town. The defender's late intervention forced a replay in the second qualifying round, scheduled for Tuesday in Cornwall.

Merthyr Town had taken the lead just after the 80th minute. Kane Simpson delivered a ball into the box and Ellis Watts diverted it past Truro goalkeeper Aiden Stone. With time running out, Harrison arrived at the back post from his centre-back position to score a key equaliser.

Manager John Askey praised his defender's commitment. "Tom (Harrison), again, you always know what you are going to get," Askey said. "You are always going to get 100%."

The replay offers a fresh chance to progress in a competition that holds significant importance for the club and its travelling supporters. Askey highlighted the opportunity ahead. "It’s a great opportunity on Tuesday to get into the next round," he said.

Truro City, currently seventh in the National League - South with 14 points from eight games, will now turn their focus to the cup replay. Their league campaign continues with a tough away fixture against leaders Maidstone United on Saturday.
